and I am so glad you are here!
I am laid back, silly, and incredibly passionate about documenting life.
I am an artist based in Des Moines, Iowa and serving all of the midwest and beyond. I have been capturing life's most intimate moments for the past four years and I wouldn't imagine it any other way.
Hey! I'm Emily.
I am a BIG believer in documenting life and photography is how I contribute to that passion of mine. I think the big and small moments deserve to be remembered and shared. I am that girl who has thousands of photos and videos on her phone, always asks if we can take a photo, and makes photo albums for everything.
I realized this desire to document in high school but it wasn't until my first year of college that I realized I could turn that love of mine into a career. That spring semester of my freshman year I signed up for my first photography class, bought my first camera, and started offering free sessions to build my portfolio. Now here I am several years later and the rest is history!
I believe in capturing life's most intimate moments and storytelling.
I am for the free spirits and big dreamers.
- Traveling is easily one of my favorite hobbies. I actually bought my first camera so I could take pictures of my trips!
- I am an enneagram 7w8.
- Chai lattes give me life.
-I love all things vintage.
- I have a rescue dog named Mali. She is half Husky and half Aussie. She is very silly and so very loved!
- My boyfriend and I are pretty big foodies so our date nights mainly consist of trying new local places or cooking together.
- You can always count me in to go thrift shopping.
- I love a good patio beer and tacos.
- I am obsessed with decorating and home remodeling.
- I dream about one day owning a cute little house somewhere in the mountains and having a renovated van or camper to travel in.
-If I was not a photographer I like to think I would either be an interior designer or event planner.

Adventure sessions are focused on taking photos in bad ass locations! Whether it is you + your boo trekking through the mountains, or your bridal portraits on a cliff overlooking the ocean, the possibilities are endless!
All adventure sessions include the copyright to all images, consultations, location scouting, and planning assistance.
A custom travel fee will be made at the time of booking.
Adventure sessions start at $500 for one hour

Emily made this experience easy and so much fun!! I never thought I would want to have a photo session like this one but she approached me, explained her process, made me feel comfortable by her confidence and assurance and I couldn’t say no. The photos she took turned out better than what I expected and she made me feel confident from beginning to end and you can see that in the photos she took. My now husband enjoyed them and thought they were gorgeous. Stepping out of my comfort zone was easy with Emily as the photographer and I fully recommend her.
